What it is
Thymosin Alpha-1 is a peptide first purified from thymosin fraction 5, an extract of the thymus gland. The thymus is where T cells mature, which is the origin of research interest in this peptide. It is approved for clinical use in a number of countries outside the United States under the name Thymalfasin.
