Growth hormone axis

CJC-1295 No DAC

Also known as Modified GRF 1-29, Mod GRF 1-29, CJC-1295 without DAC

A modified fragment of growth hormone releasing hormone, studied without the drug affinity complex that extends its half-life.

What it is

CJC-1295 No DAC is a modified version of the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone releasing hormone, the shortest fragment that retains activity. The DAC version carries an added chemical group that binds albumin and extends circulation for days; removing it leaves a short-acting analogue, which is why the two are studied as distinct compounds rather than as doses of the same one.

What published research examines

  • Growth hormone releasing hormone receptor binding
  • Pulsatile versus sustained signalling patterns
  • Combination research with growth hormone secretagogues
  • Comparative half-life against the DAC-modified form

Where the research stands

Published work on the no-DAC form is more limited than on CJC-1295 with DAC, and secondary sources sometimes conflate the two, so it is worth going to the primary literature.
