Cartalax

Also known as AED peptide

A short peptide bioregulator from the Russian research tradition, studied in connection with cartilage and connective tissue.

What it is

Cartalax belongs to the same class of short peptide bioregulators as Epithalon and Pinealon, developed by Russian gerontology researchers working on the idea that very short peptide sequences can influence gene expression in specific tissues. Cartalax is the one in that series associated with cartilage and connective tissue research.

What published research examines

  • Gene expression, the proposed mechanism across this peptide class
  • Chondrocyte behaviour in cell culture
  • Connective tissue markers in animal models
  • Comparison with other peptides in the bioregulator series

Where the research stands

As with the rest of the bioregulator series, the Cartalax literature is small and comes mainly from one research tradition, with limited independent replication so far.
